Let’s Talk: On my absence

If you follow this blog, you probably noticed I haven’t posted anything for a while.

The reason for that is that I have been pretty busy for the last couple of weeks and then my personal life kind of took over.

In May, I fell into a huge reading slump, but the bigger problem is that I haven’t wrote a book review for a long, long time, that now I feel like I, in lack of better words, lost my sparkle.

I would like for this post to be the one where I announce that my blogging gaps won’t happen again and that from now on I will post on regular basis, but unfortunately I can’t.

Later today I’m going on another trip business whise, and then on Friday me and my boyfriend are going on vecation in a small village on seaside and tbh, I am not sure how the internet connection will work there.

However, I will do my best to schedule at least four posts per week where at least one of them will be a book review.

I will be back after Juneย 20th and will try to post normally from then on, even though I know my whole summer will be pretty bussy, but I know I will have more time to visit other blogs and interact with other bloggers then.

As for giveaways, all the winners will be picked when I finally come home after Juneย 20th.

I apologize for not doing it sooner but in order to send you your prizes I have to go to bank and the only day I was able to make it (yesterday) the bank was closed.
I do apologize once again and I promise you that every giveaway hosted on this blog will have their winners picked after June 20th.

I will do my best to visit as many blogs as I can until Friday, to comment back to every single one of you.
I really appreciate every single one of you who visit my blog, follow it and leave your comments, and who interact with me on twitter.

If you are my friend on Goodreads you probably noticed I haven’t been an active member there either.
It will probably stay the same for a while but when I finally come back home I will be back on Goodreads as well!

I know I am so behind with my posts, but here is what you can expect to read on my blog this month:

Book reviews:

  • Billy and Me
  • Alice in Wonderland manga
  • Pretty Is
  • Daring in a Blue Dress
  • Martini Henry
  • I.D. graphic novel
  • Winner’s Curse
  • Winner’s Crime
  • Five Ways to Fall
  • Summer of Secrets
  • No Place to Hide
  • The Unexpected Everything

Three Days Quote Challenge;
May Wrap Up and Book Haul;
Movie Mondays;
WoWs and
more giveaways.

If you read this whole post, thank you for your time.

I hope you’ll like what will come, and I hope those blogging gaps here on Book Dust Magic won’t be happening any time soon.
Take care of yourself and I hope you’ll read some good books while I’m away (I know I’m bringing plenty with me to read on my vecation! ๐Ÿ™‚ )

  1. Hey Irena, I’m glad you’re back. I was wondering where you disappeared to (haven’t heard from you in a while). Now I know.
    You have no idea how much I related to this post. I haven’t been in goodreads in… oh, forever now. And I used to be there so much. Funny thing is, my hellish reading slump started about the time I opened my book blog. I have 18 posts and only two of them are book reviews, because I haven’t been able to read for a while now. And I also had issues in my personal life that interfered.
    I try to post regulary but it’s hard when you can’t actually read.
    I think the vecation will do you good – enjoy, have fun and come back refreshed.
    And let’s hope to rid ourselves from this reading slump so we can go back to what we love to do best –
    read (:

    1. Thank you so much for those kind words.
      I really hope your words will come true – that you’ll get out of your reading slump too and that we both will post many book reviews on our blogs. ๐Ÿ˜€
      As for GR, oh, I was always active there, I have many good friends there but I guess it was hard for me to balance everything, but yeah, I hope that I’ll manage to do it better in the future.

  2. Slumps like this are the worst! I feel like once you miss a couple of reviews, they just keep piling up, and it gets ridiculous. Good luck with getting caught up ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Irena, although I will miss your twitter interaction and blog posts, I think a vacation with your boyfriend will be lovely. If the internet is not great there, hopefully you will enjoy some relaxing time to read your books. Have a great time, and I look forward to chatting with you when you come back.

  5. You don’t need to explain why you don’t post. We love what you write, but it is much more important that you live your life.
