Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This meme was created for bloggers to spotlight posts they published in the week, as well as to talk about what they plan to write in the week that’s coming.
Sunday post is also great opportunity to showcase books we got in the week behind us.
Hi Guys,
I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
It’s raining here in Zagreb and I love it. It’s the perfect weather to stay at home and read all the books, and since HoHoHo readathon is going on at the moment, it makes me appreciate it even more.
My plan is to finish my book today. I started readathon with the biggest book from my tbr (500+ pages) and blog hop. In other words, to have one relaxing Sunday.
The only thing that’s new in my life is we got a new fridge. We wanted to get one that is big enough for family of three, since we have a baby on the way, so we decided to go with 185×60 cm dimensions.
If we had bigger apartment, we’d go with two-winged one because they are much more practical and beautiful, but we have to go with what we have.
It’s a downside of living in a small space, but this apartment makes me happy because it is ours, and truth be told, I have never felt at more peace then I do now.
I also won one giveaway on Twitter, which was unexpected. Now I’ll have one more signed book in my (small) collection.
There’s only one thing that makes me mad: The birthday package I sent to my friend Amanda is still somewhere in Croatia even though I paid for it to be delivered per avion, in 5 days. I have sent it last month.
Our post office got really miserable in the last two years, I think it’s because so many people are underpaid and they don’t want to do their job, but it is no excuse.
The saddest thing about it is that I don’t have alternatives, and I’ll have to send Christmas presents via the same company, so I hope they won’t get lost.
I plan to send them at the very beginning of December, just in case.
Last Week on Book Dust Magic:
Monday: I reviewed The Hustle movie
Tuesday: I posted my HoHoHo Readathon TBR
Wednesday: I reviwed The Babysitters Coven by Kate Williams
Thursday: I talked about products I use to prevent stretch marks
Friday: I reviewed One Chrstmas Star by Mandy Baggot
Saturday: I revealed the gender of my baby
Next Week on Book Dust Magic:
Upcoming reviews:
I will also talk about changes on my body during pregnancy, and about how I met Katherine Arden + there will be a giveaway for her signed book The Bear and the Nightingale.
Currently reading:
I am currently reading The Christmas Invitation and it is my first read for HOHOHO readathon. It is okay but tbh. I hoped I’d be more interested in the story. I have more then half book to go, and it is getting better so let’s hope it will be a pleasant surprise in the end.
Book Haul:
I was approved for One Night on Ice via Netgalley, and I plan to read it during HoHoHo readathon.
That is it!
Let me know what’s been going on with you, what you’ve been reading or watching this week and feel free to leave your links so I can visit you.
Have a lovely Sunday!
Hello,
Yup, rainy weather is the best time to read a book. I am interested on your upcoming review for The Haunting of Hill House since I’m still contemplating on reading the book first and watching the Netflix version next or vice versa.

Thank you! I have to admit that I haven’t read the book, but I don’t feel like I missed something, I liked the show and who knows, if I read the book, maybe I would care less for it, so I am satisfied with how it played out in my case.

Nice..thank you.. I might watch it first than read the book then.
Happy reading week!

It’s wonderful that your apartment makes you so happy!
Postal services can be unreliable all over the world, I’ve had more than one package go astray.
Wishing you a great reading week, and good luck with your HOHoHo goals

Thank you so much! Actually, my friend told me today that it arrived safely, so I guess they forgot to scan the package when it arrived to GB, because on their web site it still says that the package is in Croatia.

Yay the parcel finally arrived. And I love it. I love the thought that you put into it with all the things i will enjoy.
What book did you win on Twitter?
You are doing so well with all these posts. I love to read them all.
I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Haunting Hill House.

I am so happy that it arrived, and even more happy that you like the present. And now I feel bit childish for complaining so publicly about the post service, when in reality maybe they just forgot to scan the package when it arrived in GB.
Thank you so much for the comment about my blog posts, I got back into writing them and now I everyday write 1-2 posts. Let’s hope I’ll continue with them because I feel like my English is better when I write on regular basis.
My thoughts for The Hunting of Hill House should be on my blog on Wednesday. I still have to write them though. 😐

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I’m sorry your book isn’t as good as you’d hoped. Especially since it’s the longest one on your TBR.
Oh man. I remember when I bought my washer and dryer. It was when I first felt like a real adult! LOL Buying appliances will do that, I guess.
Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on the new fridge! It’s always nice when you’re happy with where you live, even if the space isn’t the biggest. And have fun with the readathon! I’m hoping to get some books in for that too.

Thank you Greg! You are right, the peace and mindfulness is so much important then big space. But the win win is if you have both.
I hope you’ll have great time during readathon if you pick some books to read. It lasts til Sunday, so you have time! 😉

Congratulations on the new fridge! I hope it has all the storage space you need (seriously, I had to rephrase that a few times, otherwise it sounded like you were putting your family in the fridge. Whoops).
Starting with the biggest book in your pile is a bit of a risk. If you can’t get into the book, then you wind up procrastinating and pushing your other books back. On the other hand, if you get through it quickly, you have lots of time to spare. Hopefully everything works out for you 🙂

Thanks Marie! 😁
You are right, starting with big book is kind of risky. I didn’t get to finish it yesterday but I will today (I have only few chapters left) and then the rest of books should be manageable, so I don’t want to stress too much about it. 😊

The post services have lost another book I was supposed to get… It is getting worse every year… I hope your package reaches Amanda!
It is priceless to have a house to call a home and safe place 🙂 xxx

It actually arrived safely, but I think they forgot to scan the package in GB. That’s why I thought it was still in Croatia.
But I understand completely, I was told many times that I should receive a book and then it never appeared, so I guess some were lost in the mail, and some were probably never sent.
I don’t even request books these days… and I stopped participating in blog tours for other reason.

The mail is crazy here in the US, too! I have books coming from Better World Books and it only took two days for them to get half way across the country, but they have been sitting in the post office in a city only an hour away for five days! I also had books coming from Canada and they sent them from a post office only four hours away to a post office two states away before coming back to my city. The mail I send to my friend in The Netherlands gets there quicker! Ha ha. ✉
I need to read The Haunting of Hill House. It’s been on my TBR forever. 📚✨
I am so jealous that you got to meet Katherine Arden! I loved the Winternight trilogy. 💕
I hope you continue to get a lot of good reading time in. Have a wonderful new week! 🌞

I guess mail service is crazy all around the world then.
I plan to post my review for The Hunting of Hill House on Thursday, but it’s only for Netflix show, I haven’t read the book.
If you love Winternight trilogy, make sure to stop by on my blog on Friday or by the end of the week, because I will host a giveaway for the signed UK edition of The Bear and the Nightingale. It will be a worldwide giveaway.

I hate how unreliable post can be. I hope you managed to track the package down in the end! And good luck with the holiday packages!
I’ve enjoyed Mandy Baggot’s festive books before, I haven’t heard of this one but the cover is awesome. Enjoy!

Ohh, this one was previously published under different name. I think it was Breaking the Ice.
In the end, the parcel arrived on time, my friend told me few hours after I poted about it, but I guess they forgot to scan the package in UK or sth.
