Sunday Post (Weekly Wrap Up March 11th-17th) #SundayPost #Bloggers #WrapUp #Reading

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This meme was created for bloggers to spotlight posts they published in the week, as well as to talk about what they plan to write in the week that’s coming.

Sunday post is also great opportunity to showcase books we got in the week behind us.

Hi Guys!

I feel like it’s been ages since the last time I did my Sunday Post.
There aren’t many good excuses to use in this case, except that I write my Sunday posts always on Sundays, and lately I had busy Sundays.

Anyway, this week was pretty… messed up I guess?

I was pretty depressive at the beginning of the week (to be honest, I was depressed last week too), but with each day I felt better and better.
I feel hopeful and motivated now, so don’t worry!
I think my depressive phases come from my hormonal disbalance.

In other news, I am slowly but surely making steps to rebranding Book Dust Magic, so this will no longer be book blog only, but also lifestyle blog, and I will cover different topics I feel passionate about.

If you wonder why I decided to do it, I will probably write a post about it pretty soon.

Last week on Book Dust Magic:

Monday: I took a part in the She Lies in Wait blog tour, and posted my review for this crime novel

Wednesday: I reviewed Written from the Heart by Trisha Ashley

Thursday: I took part in the Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway Hop

Friday: I reviewed An American Marriage by Tayari Jones

Next week on Book Dust Magic:

Upcoming reviews:

The day we met by roxie cooper cover The Island Affair by Helena Halme book cover

I will also talk about books that I plan to read this Spring.

Book Haul:

This week I was approved for the two books I requested via Netgalley:

The Country Rivalry by Sasha Morgan book cover A country escape by katie fforde book cover Book Dust Magic

Currently reading:

The Island Affair by Helena Halme book coverI am opening the blog tour for The Island Affair by Helena Halme next week (aka tomorrow) so I’ll be finishing this novel soon. If you wonder, it is really relaxing and beautiful prose.

Giveaway:

There’s a giveaway going on here on Book Dust Magic right now, and you can win yourself a book of choice. It is international, and you can enter here.

That is it!
Let me know what’s been going on with you, what you’ve been reading or watching this week and feel free to leave your links so I can visit you.
Have a lovely Sunday!

  1. Good luck with the rebrand!
I set up a second blog to capture the non-book related stuff but it’s so neglected and I’ve honestly set it up and then deleted it about 4 times now! Maybe integrating other posts onto the book blog and making it a hybrid is the way to go?

    1. Hi Nicci,
Tbh, I don’t know what is the right way, but I know I don’t feel like starting again from the zero, and since I’ll still read and review books I decided to just expand my blog.
I also plan to invest more in it.

  2. First and foremost I really hope you keep getting better each day.. I have my own mental health challenges and know how difficult they can be. Please please reach out at anytime if you need someone to talk to.

Second, can I just say I’m jealous of.people who have done blog tours for major titles? Some day… Congratulations!!

    1. Hi Susan, thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I am in an okay place right now, let’s just hope I will stay this way.

If you want to take part in blog tours, I know I am not a big expert, but what I can suggest you to sign up on Anne Carter’s bloggers list, she is in charge for some big titles when it comes to blog tours, and I was also invited from publishers directly.

      1. I’m glad you are doing ok. I will keep you in my thoughts and always feel free to reach out. Thank you for the suggestion. I did get one publisher who invited me and it was a big title too but it was while my mom was sick. I was so disappointed. I still kick myself over it.

  3. I’m glad you are feeling a bit better. Hormones are terrible things sometimes!
A post on why you are changing to a lifestyle blog would be good.
I’m reading Tell Me a Secret right now. I will have to speed up my reading on it, as the library notified me that I Owe You is ready for me and I will only be able to borrow it for a few weeks. I’m excited to read it.
    Amanda xx.

    1. Yay, I Owe You One is your next read then… I hope you will like it, and that you also enjoy Tell Me A Secret. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Okay, then I will do a post about why I decided to expand my blog to lifestyle. It won’t be too soon, because I don’t want to rush it, but there will be one!

  4. Glad to hear that you’re coming out of other side. I sympathise as I can also suffer with low mood. Good luck with rebranding your blog, sometimes a change is great at giving you a new lease of life! I’m always quite envious of book bloggers though – I always seem to struggle with finding time to read.

    1. Well, if it helps, I also don’t have much time, but I make it so I could read.
I wake up earlier so I read with my coffee in the morning, and I also read on my way to and from work.
And then, only if I’m not too tired, I read few pages before bed.
I don’t watch tv all that often.
This is how I make time to read, but I wish I could read more…

  5. I understand about wanting to rebrand. I have started including more Harry Potter fandom posts on my blog about collecting, cosplay, and wizarding world recipes because I found out when I link them on the two HP fandom pages I admin I get about 3,000 extra views a month. Other book bloggers seem to be adding anime fandom posts. Mixing it up on book blogs seems to be the way to go lately. 👍✨

I hope this next week is better for you! 🌞
