Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This meme was created for bloggers to spotlight posts they published in the week, as well as to talk about what they plan to write in the week that’s coming.
Sunday post is also great opportunity to showcase books we got in the week behind us.
Hi Guys!
This has been a slow week and not much happened. I feel like I wanted to read more, wanted to write more, but was slower at everything I did, so therefore I didn’t end this week too satisfied with that aspect of my life.
I keep thinking how behind I am with some of my reviews, and even though I don’t want to pressure myself too much, I still feel down about it.
I decided to give myself a big pause and stop buying/requesting books for the fist half of the year, so I could focus on books I already have.
There are some books I already purchased/requested, but other then that, there won’t be new ones for a while.
My main aim is to focus on ARCs and Netgalley copies.
On the other hand, for some reason my blog DA went up (for only 1 point) so the traffic was really good, even though I didn’t host any giveaways, and it made me really happy.
Today I’m looking forward to go on a date with my fiance. We’ll go to a nice restaurant and just enjoy ourselves.
Last Week on Book Dust Magic:
Monday: I gave you my 2018 end of year bookish survey
Wednesday: I talked about how I left some books around city, for others to find them
Friday: I reviewed The Chestnut Man by Soren Sveistrup and White Stag by Kara Barbieri
Next Week on Book Dust Magic:
Upcoming reviews:
Currenly Reading:
I’m rereading The Cruel Prince so I could jump right into The Wicked King when it arrives (I ordered it some time ago but it is still on it’s way).
That is it!
Let me know what’s been going on with you, what you’ve been reading or watching this week and feel free to leave your links so I can visit you.
Have a lovely Sunday!
Enjoy your date x

Have a great time with your fiance 🙂
I thought I’d been productive but I haven’t read as much as I was hoping this week. I review books within a week of having read them so I don’t fall into the trap of having a million reviews to write about books I don’t remember, haha!

Thanks Meggy. You have a good strategy that I should follow too. 🙂
Here’s to next week, in hope we’ll read more! 🍺

I hope you’ll have a nice, romantic dinner, Irina!
I need to read The Cruel Prince – I haven’t yet, though I’m pretty sure it’s hiding somewhere on my kindle 😉
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

I’m falling behind on reviews too. I have draft posts ready but can’t seem to get motivated to settle down and finish them. LOL And I just received some ARCs I’d forgotten about. Yikes! Have a fun date:)

Have fun on your date! I’m super behind with reviews too, and I’m thinking about doing a similar thing and not requesting any more books, unless of course my favorite authors aren’t the ones writing it, then I’ll jump on them to help spread the word about their awesomeness 😀 I’m currently binge watching Once Upon A Time with my mom. I finally convinced her that it’s a good show to watch and we’re currently on season 2, almost towards the end of it. Have a great week!

I used to watch Once Upon a Time. Season 3 with Peter Pan was my absolutely favorite part, and after his part ended, nothing was good enough in my eyes. I stopped somewhere in season 5 because life got in a way, and never continued.
Wish you lots of fun while watching together! 😊

Falling behind can be hard. I try to set up a little reward system for myself to motivate me! Best of luck and congrats about the uplift on your traffic.

Thanks Kimberly! As for reviewd, that reward system does not sound bad, I’ll have to think about how to organize it for myself. But this plan I am working on right now looks like it could bring some progress.

Have a great date. 🙂 Finding motivation to be productive can be hard even – especially if a person wants to do a million things. I hope this week you can read everything you wanted last week but weren’t able to. 🙂

I’m also behind on writing reviews. I read way faster than I can write them. It is stressful. Have a good date and a great week!

Thanks Aj! I don’t even read fast, but sometimes I just postpone everything until it’s too late and I realize I don’t remember the story clearly to review it.

I didn’t read much last week either. Hoping January will pick up for me reading- wise at some point! And ooh Aquaman- I’ve been debating whether to see it.
I need to read the cruel Prince too with Wicked King coming out- I’ve been meaning to start that series for a bit.

Honestly, I didn’t have hogh expectations for Aquaman, but after seeing it I can’t stop recommending it!

I hope you had a lovely date. Since the beginning of the year (wow only 2 weeks!), I seem to have gotten a lot of great sounding new books, both in paperback and on kindle. So no more requesting for me for a while either until I read the good ones I have. I don’t mind because the ones I have sound really good. I hope yours do too.
