When it comes to reading, January was mediocre month.
I managed to read 6 books, which is good. It could be better, but it’s not bad either.
Good thing is that I liked all the books I read during January.
These are the books I read in January: (click on covers to see my reviews)
My favorite book of the month:
That is it!
Please tell me how many books have you read during January and what was your favorite?
If you have wrap up post, feel free to leave your link so I can visit you. 🙂
I have heard great things about Perks of a Wallflower, it is many people’s favourite book and / or film. I haven’t read it, or seen the film. I think as my tbr is so huge I will watch the film instead.
I think 6 books in a month is pretty good.

I would highly recommend you the movie. If you have to choose between the two, I’d say the movie in this case..

Have you seen the movie?

I read Perks of Being a Wallflower a while ago…and also enjoyed the movie.
As for January, I had a good month with 16 books read and reviewed…and my favorite was The Orphan’s Tale.
Thanks for sharing.

Omg, 16 books is amazing. I am daydreaming about reading that many books in one month…
Great job!
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is actually my favorite movie. I plan to write book to movie comparison about that story.

The cover of Alabaster is gorgeous!
I also read 6 books in January! I meant to read more but I was sooo busy with school that I just had no time/energy for anything more. 😂😂😭

I complitely understand! It’s often similar to that – we almost always wish we read more, but we have to remember that 6 books in one month is still pretty amazing. 😉

I also read 6 books in January, any book is good, that’s my new motto! No pressure! I had issues finding a real favorite one though, even if the sci-fi one I finally chose deserves its award.

You’re right, there! We shouldn’t pressure ourselves. Any number is a good number!
Ohh, I was thinking the other day, how I don’t know if I have ever read a sci-fi book. The only book that came to my mind was The Host by S. Meyer, and I’m not sure if maybe that’s dystopian.

So glad to know your favorite book of the month. I have that book checked out from the library but haven’t read yet.. I better start on it tonight then 🙂 What common genre for all the books you read this month, besides fiction?

Here is clear that English is not my native language, because I am not sure If I understand your question. But if I do, they are all almost all contemporaries (Alabaster is historical), two are young adult (although Alabaster is christian fiction and also shelved as Women’s fiction, but I shelf it as ya), and the rest are women’s fiction. This month was not strong when it comes to mixing genres.

So all books are contemporary fiction? That’s what you like to read best?

It is. Ya or adult, contemporaries are always my first choice.
