This week I am eagerly anticipating:

Vampire Academy 10th Anniversary Edition

Publisher: Razorbill

Publication Date: November 29th, 2016

Summary:

Richelle Mead celebrates 10 years of Vampire Academy with an exclusive, never-before-seen collection of stories that sheds new light on the world and its players: The Turn and the Flame takes a deeper look into the dark stain on the Ozera dynasty… From the Journal of Vasilisa Dragomir unearths the princess’s private thoughts from a transformative period of her life… The Meeting gives us a glimpse of Rose Hathaway through Dimitri’s eyes… Hello My Name Is Rose Hathaway tracks the shenanigans that ensue when Rose and Dimitri become unlikely teammates in a high-stakes scavenger hunt… Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth’s magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires–the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa’s best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them. After two years of freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir’s Academy, where vampire royalty and their guardians-to-be prepare for a life fraught with danger. Rose and Lissa must navigate their treacherous world and never once let their guard down, lest the evil undead make Lissa one of them forever. But soon Rose finds herself gripped by temptation of forbidden love, leaving Lissa exposed to Strigoi attack. Now she must choose between the best friend she lives for, and the man she can’t live without…

Why am I waiting?

I like to say for myself that I am the biggest Vampire Academy fan out there.
I have never, ever loved fictional characters as much as I love Adrian, Christian, Vasilisa, Rose and others, nor do I believe that I ever will.
I never stopped hoping that Richelle Mead will write another series set in Vampire Academy world.
I still hope, but until my wish comes true, I am happy to have an opportunity to read this bind up of short stories and novellas with my favorite morois and dhampirs.

    1. Thanks Amanda! This series is from days when I read only ya (I had period that leasted sth like 2 years when I read only ya bc I discovered it and it was the best thing ever). Since then I started to read adult again, went back to my roots, but I still like to read good ya.
This series is sooo good and loved by young and adults, and it is actually the reason why I started reading in English in the first place – so I could read it’s spin off that wasn’t translated into Croatian.

  1. I’ve read a couple of these, and one of the Alchemist series that comes after. I’ve not read them in order though b/c I borrowed them from my library, and just picked up whatever ones they had there!

  5. If you’re the biggest Vampire Academy fan, then I’m second after you (:
I can honestly tell this series changed me.
Also, I’m desperately hoping Richelle will do another Vampire Academy spin-off! Which I don’t think is too far-fetched to believe. We just have to wait patiently ^__^
The 10th anniversary? Wow, I can’t believe it’s been this long now.
I was only 8 when the first book came out, and I only read it when I was 13 or 14.
    Time flies (:

    1. I don’t even want to tell how old I was when the first book came out (because I was too old even then! 😛 ), but don’t think you’re too far from the truth: it is highly possible there will be more books set in this world. I feel like that baby (can’t remember his name, but you know who I’m thinking of if you read Ruby Circle) could be a new protagonist when he grows up a bit nd becomes a teenager. Then maybe we’ll get to see everyone we love as adults, and quess Lisa and Christian ❤ .
