Movie Monday: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The 5th Wave and Amy

Movie Monday is a weekly feature here on my blog, in which I’m rambling about movies I’ve watched lately.

This week I want to talk about three movies: one based on Graphic Novel, one based on ya sci-fi novel, and one documentary.

Batman v Superm an: Dawn of Justice

This movie was one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Everyone wanted to see how Ben Affleck’s gonna pull this role off and if the movie will live up to their expectations.
I will be totally honest with you and tell you that the thing that I was the most excited for, when it comes to this movie, was the fact that we got to see Flash for the first time, played by Ezra Miller (who is my weakness).

I suppose  I don’t have to stress out that the theatre was full. There were literally people who didn’t have seets to sit on, so they ended up going home.

I know many people weren’t happy with this movie, but I tought it was pretty awesome.

I’m gonna say this once, and then I’m gonna repeat it many times if I have to: I think Ben Affleck is the best Batman so far!
He is tall and he looks like a real hero, he also acted pretty well too.

I am only sad that I got to see Ezra as Flash for only about 30 second, maybe more.

However, those cameos of Flash, Aquaman and the third guy (that I don’t even know who he was) had it’s purpose, and now I simply can’t wait to see next movies in this franchise.

There’s one more thing I feel I need to tell you: I was at Batman’s side all the way. I never liked Superman anyway and I always complained about all destructions he made and the mess he’s leaving behind when he’s saving someone so I am glad that Batman saw that too!

The best part about this movie was Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex Luther. He was my favorite character and I even though it kinda makes me a bad guy myself, I was actually at his side!

The 5th Wave

5th

Just when I tought that I won’t have a chance to see this movie because in many theathers it stopped airing a long time ago, me and my father got a chance to watch it.

I have never read the book, because I have an unhealthy fear of aliens, so I waited for this movie to come out so I can finally see this story, when I can’t read it.

In the end, I tought that the story itself was really good. It was pretty believable when it comes to alien invasion.
However, me and my dad were laughing at some parts and things, how unbelieveable they were and at stupidity of some.

In the end I ended up liking this movie even though it didn’t blow my mind.

Amy

This documetary about Amy Winehouse is, in my opinion, the best movie I watched lately.
I was a fan of Amy’s music for years before she died. I was also waiting for her third album that, sadly, never saw the light oft he day.

Seeing this film made me remember how I appreciated her as an artist and how vulnerable person she was.
I think it would be great if more people would watch this movie and maybe they’d see a different side of the story about Amy Winehouse.

This movie hit me emotionally and I am sure I will watch it again in the future.

  1. Good post! I won’t say I hated Batman vs. Superman but I do think I expected more. I felt it left a lot to be desired. And although I’m not the biggest comic book follower, there were points in the movie when I really didn’t know who it was making the brief cameos! lol And my friend who IS a huge comic book fan was equally confused. Overall, it was good but I felt like there could have been more development in some places. And yes to Ben as Batman! *swoons* lol

I haven’t seen the other 2 but they look good also 🙂
