Waiting on Wendesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It spotlights upcoming releases we can’t wait to read.
This week I am eagerly anticipating:
Summer Nights at the Moonlight Hotel by Jane Costello
Publisher: Simon & Schuster UK
Publication Date: March 10th, 2016
Summary (from Goodreads):
‘LEARN TO SALSA DANCE,’ the card in the shop window read. ‘Experience the red-hot vibes of Latin America right here in the Lake District. Beginners and singles welcome.’
Lauren Scott lives in ‘The most romantic place in Britain’, but her love life is about as successful as her mountain climbing skills. The man she’s obsessed over for two years has proposed to someone else – and her only solution is to save up for six months to go travelling, so she never has to set eyes on him again.
But when her friends sign her up for a dance class – in the same historic hotel where her beloved dad worked and her most precious childhood memories were formed – Lauren makes a horrifying discovery. It’s been sold to a faceless budget chain, which has depressing plans in store. Worse, the entrepreneur behind it all turns out to be among a group of guys her friend Cate roped in to join the very same salsa class they’ve signed up for….
Jane Costello’s funniest book yet – a story of love, friendship and some serious hip action . . . Get in the mood to mambo!
Why am I waiting for this book?
Although Jane Costello has been around for quite some time, I discovered her work only last year. With her smart sense of humour and appealing writing style, she quickly became my favorite chick-lit author, dethroning Sophie Kinsella.
I still haven’t read all of her books (I am going there!), but when it comes to her new novel, my excitement is way too high.
So far, I have only two books in my ”most anticipating books of 2016” list, and this is one of them.

Oh my gosh! I have to read this… I actually live in the Lake District. 🙂 Adding this one to my wish list ASAP!

I love this – ‘salsa in the Lake District’. I read some mysteries set there, but I’ve not ever read a romantic type book set in that location. Enjoy it!!

Thanks! I’m sure it will be interesting to see how the writer’s gonna manage it! 🙂 Early reviews are pretty good so far.

Oh, this sounds SO GREAT!! I don’t normally read many contemporary romances, but I really can’t pass this one up! Cool pick! It just so happens that, when I was still single, I thought of signing up for a salsa class in order to meet guys! But I chickened out and never did sign up, because I was much too shy….. I went for online dating, instead, and nabbed me a hottie! Lol.
Thanks for featuring this, which I’m adding to my Goodreads TBR right awAY! Also, thanks for dropping by and commenting on my own WOW post!! : )

That’s an interesting story! Good thing you got yourself a hottie! 😉
I don’t think we have salsa classes here, so we can both read this book to get a glimpse how it would be like…

Yeah, it really is! If you’ll have a chance, check her out. If maybe you watched the movie Bridesmaids, she the author of the book movie is based on.

This book sounds like fun! I’ve never read anything latin american related in English, though I’m a latin girl.
I want to read how she manages the salsa dance part, it’s a pain!
Great pick! I’ll add it to my to-read list!

This sounds like a sweet and heartwarming romance, Irena. And I have actually not read any Costello books, so thanks for putting her on my radar!

Oh this does sound cute. Dancing class…sigh I always thought it would be fun but then I remember my dislike of public humiliation lol. I’m so uncoordinated I live vicariously through books. I hope they find their beat and maybe some romance 😉

I don’t read a whole lot of “chick lit” anymore, but I do love Sophia Kinsella’s work, so I’m curious about the author now. Hope you love it!

Ohh great pick! This is actually the first time I heard about this book and author. And I absolutely love chic-lit book as well. And if this book have Salsa dance in it sign me up I grow up hearing salsa music since I was a little girl. And my parents taught me and my little sister too dance salsa when we were kids. We are Latino family after all lol. But this book looks and sounds amazing I must check it out when it comes out. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
