  1. What a lovely giveaway Irena!

I haven’t actually had the time to watch it yet. I have a feeling though that it’ll be better than the movie. At least with the characters. I like the actors who are playing Magnus and Jace.

Have you watched it yet? If so how did you find it?

      1. Yes after awhile I remembered that Christian Ozera is the same guy playing Jace in Shadowhunters. I find it quite interesting! And he’s so good at faking his ascent! It’s impressive.

I can’t wait to see what you think of Shadowhunters šŸ™‚

  2. I watched and I have to start watching without comparing to the books or the movie. It was good enough that I’ll keep watching but not as good as I hoped.

  3. Yes, I saw Shadowhunters, and I loved it! There are differences from the book, but I still really enjoyed it. I think viewers need to appreciate the show on its own, and not hold it too close to the books. The acting was a bit over the top, but I mostly liked all the actors, and I think it will be a fun, interesting show!

  4. Thank you for this giveaway šŸ™‚
I watched the show the day after it aired… I quite enjoyed it… but I’ll wait until Alec and Magnus meet to form a defined opinion because if that scene is not well done I’ll be upset and it will change whatever opinion I have now…

  5. Thank you for this giveaway, Irena. šŸ™‚ Oh my. You have such a nice blog too. :)) And yes, I’ve watched Shadowhunters few days ago. Mixed feelings about it though. I kind of don’t like Kat and Dom’s acting but I love Magnus, Alec, Simon, and Izzy. šŸ™‚ Hopefully it will turn out better in the next episodes. :))

  6. I just watched it yesterday, and it is so much better than the movie. I think some of the actors still could have been chosen better, but Clary is almost perfect!

  7. I have seen the shadowhunters, but personally I think the movie was way better than the show. I mean I imagined Luke not to be so dark skin. Also I feel that Dominic Sherwood looks older than how I imaged Jace. Overall the show made me feel that they were missing pieces. Hopefully it will get better as the show progresses. P.S. is it just me or did they make Hodge in the show way hotter, than I imaged?

    1. Haha, you’re totally right! Hodge from the show looks like a model. It never even crossed my mind when I was reading that he could be hot.
I also liked Jamie Campell Bower better as Jace, and of course Robert Sheehan was my favorite in the movie so I liked him better as Simon.

  8. Personally I feel that the show was bad. I know that when they make shows from a books they have to cut out parts out, but the TMI show made it so obvious about the missing parts, I can’t really explain. Also I did not imagine Luke as dark skin, or Hodge looking so hot than the book’s description, and the most irritating part is there the way they deliver there speeches especially Dom Sherwood.Hopefully the show will get better as it progresses.

  9. I have been watching it so far. And I’ve enjoyed it. While I know there are things that have changed, I feel like for the most part it has worked. There are a few acting issues that need some work, and I’m not quite in love with this Jace yet, he needs more of the sarcasm and cockiness of the Jace in the book. But I will keep watching it! Thanks for the giveaway, I can’t wait for this one! And thanks for reminding me of the giveaway on my WOW post today.

  10. I’ve only watched the first episode so far, so I’m going to leave true judgement until probably Episode 3. But I do feel like it’s a little shaky with the writing and plot right now, but hopefully they find their feet later in the series. High hopes since I love the series!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  11. I’ve been watching it and am really enjoying it, some scenes are a little overdramatic, but I think that is just the appropriation of the fantasy levels in the book. The actors really suit the characters, or at least as close as you can get apart from the actual books. Much better than that terrible movie. Looking forward to see how they continue with it.
